The School of Environmental Science and Management of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (SESAM-UPLB), through the Continuing Education and Training Division (CETD)
and in partnership with the Philippines Network of Educators on Environment (PNEE) conducted a webinar on “Biodiversity Assessment and Management Strategies for Terrestrial Ecosystems” today, via Zoom.
Focusing on terrestrial flora and fauna, the introductory lectures capacitated the participants on the holistic strategies, approaches, and methods relative to terrestrial biodiversity assessment and management. The speakers of this webinar were Dr. Rico C. Ancog, Dean and Professor of SESAM; Dr. Pastor L. Malabrigo, Jr., UPLB Professor of the College of the Forestry and Natural Resources; Dr. Juan Carlos T. Gonzales, Professor of the UPLB College of Arts and Sciences; and For. Sofia A. Alaira, University Researcher and Head of the SESAM CETD.
This was an in-house webinar for JOBIN-SQM, INC., a subsidiary of Emerging Power Inc., the renewable energy arm of a listed mining firm, Nickel Asia Corp. The participants of this event were heads and staff from the different departments of JOBIN-SQM, INC.
